Be the first!

Vizzini canoes the John Day River with Bill Gaffi, Bob Eimsted and others. May 17-23, 2015.

Vizzini has gone to the birds!  He's joining the Wild Turkeys on their annual weekend trek to count birds across Oregon.  Between, May 5 and May 7, he will be taking an 800-mile trek to bird-rich sites in Lake, Deschutes, Lane and Lincoln counties.

Vizzini isn't a birder by any stretch of the imagination. But he is an adopted son of Oregon, in awe of Oregon's natural beauty and ecological diversity, and dedicated to its protection, restoration and stewardship.

And so, after years of sitting on the sidelines, Vizzini has joined the Wild Turkeys, two or three dozen environmental activists who apply their formidable talents, creativity and energies in service to Oregon.  They come together every year for the Birdathon.

The Birdathon is the Audubon Society of Portland's signature fundraiser, supporting the conservation and education programs that protect birds across Oregon and the Pacific Flyway.

You can play a part this year by making a pledge of financial support for the Birdathon and Audubon's mission in Oregon.

Thank you for your support!
